My first stop on my southern road trip was in Pine Mountain, GA, about an hour south of Atlanta. I took my first trip ever to the Wild Animal Safari there and I had so much fun!
There are so many animals to see: camels, bison, zebras, elk, giraffes- I actually got to feed a giraffe!!! When you get there, you have the option of driving your own car through the safari, renting one of the “zebra vans,” or hopping on one of the buses and riding through the safari with a tour guide.
Most of the animals come right up to your vehicle where you can pet them or feed them if you would like. I didn’t like the idea of driving my own vehicle through, so I jumped on the bus and did the guided tour (about 45 minutes long). I loved it so much, I did it twice!
